Guestroom of the rising sun
The "zen" room is located on the Southeast corner of the house, under the roof, among the canopy. To reach this room, you will have to cross the inner courtyard, take the shale stairs to the first floor, and a wooden gateway, to a heavy country-style door. The room is huge (nearly 30 m2). It appears even bigger because of the ambient luminosity, due to a couple of large windows opening East and South, and a light color pine parquet floored toward the light.
Under the chestnut framework is a large (160 x 200cm) bed, and on the mezzanine, a bed perfect for two children (140x190cm). In the room you’ll find a desk space with books about the Cévènes and local and large-scale maps to help you prepare your walking trips. On a book shelf, a choice of novels.
The bathroom opens into the room with a small window which makes you feel the bathtub is nestled among the elderberry branches. On the opposite wall, the other window has a view to the Cévènes crests. Your private toilets are in a separate part of the room, hidden behind the miller’s ladder giving way to the mezzanine.
